The easiest way to know how your teeth meet is to clench your teeth together in their most natural position and look in the mirror, or the selfie camera on your phone.

- If your top teeth cover your lower teeth, you have an over bite

- If your bottom teeth go over your upper teeth, you have an under bite

- If your teeth meet at the same position and have an opening between them, you have an open bite

- If your teeth meet perfectly in the middle, then you have a normal bite

- If the majority of your teeth are straight, with only a couple of teeth out of line, you have mild crowding.

- If you have more than 3-5 teeth out of line in each jaw, you have moderate crowding.

- If most your teeth are misaligned in each jaw, you have severe crowding.
