Verifying Your Account
When you first register with the website you will be asked to verify your email address. To do this, we as you to click a link in an email which has been sent to you. Please check your inbox and spam folder for this email.
If your verification link has expired you can request a new one from within the app.
Trouble logging In?
There are many non-technical issues that can prevent you from being able to log into the Smile White app. We've compiled a list of the most common ones below:
- Please check that you have an active internet connection. This may mean disconnecting from Wi-Fi or moving to an area where the signal is better - Check your bars!
- Check your password. Passwords typically contain a mix of upper and lower case words, numbers and symbols. The password box allows you to peak at the password you have entered by clicking the "eye" symbol to the right of the box. Please check your password is accurate.
Aligner Settings
When you first setup your account you will be asked to enter the number of aligners in your treatment plan. If you have entered this number incorrectly or need to change it please email hello@smilewhite.co.uk and let us know the correct number for your plan.
Permissions
To fully function the Smile White aligner app requires a number of permissions on your mobile device.
Camera Permissions
To take pictures of your impressions and teeth you need to grant permissions allowing the app to use your phones built in camera. To do this:
ANDROID
- Open the "Settings" app.
- Tap "Apps".
- Tap the "Smile White" app. If you can't find it, tap "See all apps". Then, choose the Smile White app.
- Tap "Permissions".
- Find "Camera".
- Choose: "Allow only while using the app".
IOS
- Go to "Settings".
- Go to "Privacy".
- Tap on "Camera".
- Find Smile White.
- Enable access.
Notification Permissions
The app uses notifications to alert you of your treatment milestones e.g. when to swap aligners etc.
ANDROID
- Open the "Settings" app.
- Tap "Notifications". App settings.
- Find the "Smile White" app. To find more apps, in the dropdown menu, tap "All apps".
- Tap the app.
- Turn the app's notifications on.
IOS
- Go to Settings.
- Tap "Notifications".
- Find the "Smile White" app.
- Turn on "Allow Notifications".
Storage Permissions
To create your timeline we need to be able to store your photographs and other information you have added into the app onto your phone.
ANDROID
- Open the "Settings" app.
- Depending on your device, click "Apps", "Apps & notifications", or "App permissions".
- Find the "Smile White" app. To find more apps, in the dropdown menu, tap "All apps".
- Tap the app.
- Grant permission to access storage / "file and media".
IOS
App storage permissions are not required on IOS devices.
Technical Support
When you signed up with Smile White you will have been allocated a dedicated support expert to help you throughout your treatment. Contact your expert for help using the app.
